Colours keep me awake at night.....

I have been waking up thinking about colours in the middle of the night, trying to work out how to bring in new layers over what I already have printed, without ruining it! Tone, colour contrasts, composition, and what happens when colours build on top of other colours.......I write lists of what I want to try in the studio, and then usually go off on a tangent once something is working. I never get through the list! Last week I had a slow start with way too many colour options out on the glass. This week I came in with a clear idea, and got very excited about this blend. It really came to life when I printed over one of the earlier orange prints from the first session. I chose one that I hated, and finally used some of my stencils to create windows. What a happy surprise!
